Design plays an important role in the entire process of manufacturing a protective case. The most important thing is to take into account the customer’s requirements and production features. Therefore, it is necessary to take into account the following main leading details, which can be seen in the following stages:
At the first stage of development, the dimensions of the case, both internal and external, although they are interconnected, are agreed upon, the first sketch model of the future container is created
The next important step is to determine and place the stiffeners, as this will determine how strong the case will be. It also affects the number of locks and hinges that are placed and calculated at the same stage.
The third main detail is stacking (one-on-one stacking with fixing stacks), it is very convenient, saves warehouse space and significantly increases the stability of the stacking structure.
To ensure tightness, protrusions, and depressions are designed in the designated places of the box to place and limit the sealing rubber, which tightly connects the lid and the body of the container.
The final stage of the case design is calculations, the finished product is checked for strength using CAE (Computer-aided engineering) systems. The resulting 3D model is subjected to various possible loads. This is how the ultimate results of the plastic cover and body loads are obtained.
